The
proprietor, Bill Johnston, is a guild commended framer and
examiner with over 10 years experience. Bill, a painter
himself, established the business when an opportunity arose to
take over an existing framing outlet in the town. |
Having
started to frame his own work, he
decided to make the most of this opportunity, which enabled him to combine his
experience in picture framing with his love of painting and art. Prestige
Pictures was established in 1992. Initially the business
specialised solely in picture framing but with a move to more
extensive premises, to its current location at 107
Union Street in Lurgan, a gallery was established specialising in
English and Irish art. The
art gallery and framing workshop offers services in:
-
Bespoke framing
-
Conservation
framing
-
Picture
restoration
-
Custom framing for
galleries and artists
-
Taught courses in
framing
-
5 gallery spaces
exhibiting English and Irish art
The art gallery and
framing workshop is open from 9.00am to 5.30pm weekdays and from
9.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays. Easy car parking is available
in nearby car parks and on the street next to the shop. A
pickup and delivery service for pictures is available upon request. |
