Sybil currently works and lives in Northern Ireland, but also
spends a considerable part of her time in Scotland, having
both lived and worked there for a number of years. With family
and friends in both countries Sybil’s connection with Scotland
and Ireland is strongly reflected in her work.
Mixed media is the essence of
Sybil’s work. Coming from a textile art background Sybil has
always combined 2 or more different media - using screen
printing, oils, acrylics, dyes and or collage with embroidery.
More recently she has been exploring photography/digital
imaging and is currently developing new work which
incorporates elements of these newer media with oils, acrylics
and printmaking to bring a new dimension to her work. |
